Horizon Duplication was founded by Peter Schimpf (that guy on the right!) back in 1991 offering professional video duplication services. In the spring of 1993 the company moved to the current location, increased production capacity and added several more employees. In 1998, CD duplication services were added and the company began selling CD-Rs, jewel cases, blank master tape, plastic video cases and other video supplies. DVD duplication services followed in 2001 as the media supply business continued to grow. In 2005, the company name was changed to Horizon Media Express, better representing the transition to a full service media duplication and supply operation.
